   Stress shielding is the procedure is to repair the fracture to reduce the stress between the fracture segment. It is done with the help of implants such as plates, screws etc. Due to the stress shielding the fracture healing will not occur or healing may delay this is caused due callus formation is not occur. Callus formation is the main stage of fracture healing . It is the process by which the formation of bony callus between the fractured segments because of the implant the process is not occur . This is the reason for the bone fracture is not heal.
