Vascular smooth muscles arise from multiple origins , they are also called mural cells .they rap around larger vessels and are heavily relied upon regulation of blood flow and stability. The function of smooth muscles in each body systems is diverse for example: In respiratory system it's function is to regulate the diameter of bronchiolar but in the vascular system it's main function is to regulate the blood pressure and flow.
