The spinal cord is the crucial component of a reflex arc.The nerves associated to the spinal cord in relex arc are - Sensory neurons,interneurons and Motor neurons and their functions are discussed below-

Sensory neurons - It transmits the afferent impulses received from the receptor cells via afferent or sensory neurons to the central nervous system in spianl cord .

Motor neurons- It transmits efferent impulses from the integration centre to an effector organs.

Interneurons- It makes synapse between sensory and motor neurons.
