- When right hepatic duct meets left hepatic duct, it becomes common hepatic duct.
- When common hepatic duct meets cystic duct, it becomes common bile duct.
- Common bile duct along with main pancreatic duct drains bile into duodenum via hepatopancreatic ampulla.
- Bile emulsifies large fat molecules in the duodenum.
