THYMUS - It acts as a bone marrow.

a. Promotes differentiation of stem cells in to lymphocytes.

b. Migration of lymphocytes to other lymphoid tissue for development.

c.The Thymus also secretes factor called Thymosin which checks development of lymphocytes.

Thymus plays a vital role in development of lymphocytes.

There are two types of Lymphocytes. They are

a. B - Lymphocytes.

b. T - Lymphocytes.

a. Stimulated by Thyroid hormones and folic acid.
