Why is an elastic aorta important for Δ flow rate for veins
Veins and arteries are two blood vessels that supplies blood in the body. The arteries takes blood away from heart and veins take blood towards heart.
The vein starts as the continuation of the capillary where the artery ends. The veins are thinner than artery and are less elastic. But arteries are thicker and elastic especially the aorta. The blood pressure from the heart is much greater and the aorta has that elastic property to withstand that and they reduce the blood pressure reaching the other parts of the body by its elastic property. So if elastic aorta was not there and as the veins are not elastic it will be difficult for the blood to flow back and the flow rate must have altered. More than that the cappilaries may get damaged and the blood flow will be less through the capillaries and thus affect the glow rate if the vein.
