If we talk about the whole muscle the experience of pull strength is known as the tension. When we lift something with our muscle it will try to pull that weight while creating tension in the while muscle. But if we talk about a single muscle fibre it is different. The tension on the muscle fibres is based on the number of cross bridges formed. As more actin and myosin binds together more tension is produced. It also depends on the cross sectional area of the muscle fibres and depends on the frequency of the neural stimulation. The functional value depends on the change in the length of the sarcomere. When sarcomere length is 2micrometer is the maximum tension of 100 percentage. The tension in a muscle fibre is calculated. In percentage.
