An articulation occurs where two or bone meet each other. An articulation is a place where two or more bones articulate with each other.
The bones articulate to form joints. These joints provide various degrees of movement in different directions. The muscles attached to the bone helps in movement of the joint. The motor cortex present in cerebrum sends signals to muscles through peripheral nerves to contract. When a muscle contracts it pulls the bone towards it. This results in movement of a joint. For eg contractionof biceps pulls the elbow joint in flexion whereas contraction of triceps pulls the elbow joing in exte
