Some cells produce lipid-soluable products. can you deduce how such products are stores, that is, prevented from exiting the cell?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Lipid soluble cell products include steroids hormones, fat soluble vitamins etc.

As the plasma membrane of cells is made up of lipids, the lipid soluble substances passes through cells and moves inside. Inside cell, these lipid soluble substances are stored in the form of fat bodies/globules. These fat globulins are large in size and cannot pass through cell membrane. Whenever required, these fat globules breaks and release the required substance outside cell.

Also, lipids soluble substances are stored in liver and in adipocytes.

The clonal selection theory states that Multiple Choice B cells can become T cells by appropriate selection. some T cells can produce antibodies by selection. B cells that recognize a given epitope multiply to form a family of identical cells. macrophages multiply to form a clone. cell-mediated immunity depends on processing and presentation of antigen.

How does the fly control differentiation of epithelial cells to nerve cells so that nerve cells are not over-produced? Group of answer choices The Notch receptor is present on epithelial cells. When an epithelial cell develops into a nerve cell, it expresses Delta on its outer cytoplasmic membrane instead of Notch. Delta is a ligand for Notch. When a Delta-bearing nerve cell touches a Notch-bearing epithelial cell, it inhibits the epithelial cell from differentiating into a nerve cell. As the...
