For diabetes patients a one hour daily exercise session of aerobic abd strengthing exercises with proper warm up and cool down period is beneficial. It helps to keep blood sugar regulated, controls blood pressure and strengthen the organ systems.
The one hour prescription for diabetes include:

# warm up period for 5-10 min. This includes simple active movements and stretching.
# aerobic exercises such as walking, swimming or jogging for 30 min.
# strengthening exercises like lifting free weights or resistance exercises or using gym resistance machines for 10-15 min help to strengthen the musculoskeletal system.
# All the exercises should not be abrupted suddenly and a proper cool down period should be followed. Continue with low intensity exercises for 5 min.
