• But it return to Normal in the third trimester.

• During pregnancy there is increase in heart rate by 10 - 20 beats / minute.
• Along with stroke volume also increases .
• This result in increase in Cardiac output.

• By the 8 weeks of pregnancy Cardiac output increase by 20 %.
• This reaches upto to 40 % rise towards the 20 weeks
• During labour also cardiac output rises and then return to normal.
