Describe the path of blood from the hepatic portal vein through to the renal artery. Explain how the blood chemistry changes through its path
Hepatic Portal vein is formed by Union of Superior Mesentric vein and Splenic vein .
Now Portal system is the vascular system that begins and ends at capillary beds .Hepatic Portal vein carry all blood from Intestine ,gall bladder ,Spleen and pour into Liver .So Portal vein carries nutrients and toxic materials and pour into Liver .
From Hepatic Portal vein --------> Liver -------> Hepatic veins ------> Inferior Vena cava -----> Right atrium ------> Right Ventricles ---->Pulmonary artery ------> Lungs ( Oxygenation) -------> Pulmonary veins -----> Left atrium ------> Left Ventricles -----> Aorta ----> Arch of Aorta------> Descending Aorta ---->Renal artery .
Hepato Portal vein is deoxygenated blood carries nutrients and toxic substances to Liver .Nutrients materials are utilised and stored and Detoxification of toxic substances occur .Then deoxygenated blood enters through Heaptic veins from liver to Right atrium ,Ventricle and through Pulmonary artery into Lungs
Oxygenation of blood occurs then Oxygenated blood enters through Pulmonary veins and reaches through Aorta to Renal artery.
So from Deoxygenated blood In Hepatoportal vein it changes to Oxygenated blood in Renal Artery .
