A significant joint stability is provided to glenohumeral joint by muscles and ligaments.

The rotator cuff is term which describes four muscles (supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor and subscapularis) & their tendons which act as stabilizer of the shoulder. These muscles hold the head of the humerus in the glenoid cavity in the event of movement.

There is only one bone (association of bones) which connects axial.and appendicular skeleton.

The pelvic girdle is the association of ring of bones which is attached to the vertebral column. This bone connects the bones of the lower limbs to the axial skeleton.
