Answer #1

Muscle hypertrophy means increased growth and size of muscle cells Muscle hypertrophy depends on various factors

1) Genetics - Genetics plays a major role in development of muscle hypertrophy.

2) Hormones - Testosterone has greater impact on muscle hypertrophy. Increased production of testosterone causes faster muscle hypertrophic changes in muscles.

3) Exercise frequency - Increased repetition of exercises cause muscle hypertrophy.

When creating a training program to optimize muscle hypertrophy, one should remember that strength training with less number of repetition of each muscle exercises helps to delay muscle hypertrophy.
