List the percent absorptive of secretion of sodium, potassium, water, bicarbonate, glucose for different regions of the nephron.
Nephron has following parts: Glomerulus apparatus, Proximal convulated tubule, Descending loop of Henle, Ascending loop of Henle, Distal convulated tubule, Collecting duct.
Along the length of nephron reabsorption and secretions takes place as follows:
Proximal convulated tubule: Glucose and amino acids is 100% reabsorbed, Sodium 65% reabsorbed, Water 67% reabsorbed, Bicarbonate 80% reabsorbed, Potassium 65% reabsorbed, Phosphate 85% reabsorbed, HCO3-, Magnesium is reabsorbed, Calcium is reabsorbed, H+ is secreted, Drugs are secreted, NH+ is secreted, Urea is secreted, Creatinine is secreted.
Descending loop of Henle: Water 15% is reabsorbed.
Ascending loop of Henle: Sodium 25% reabsorbed, Potassium 20% reabsorbed, Bicarbonate, magnesium, calcium, HCO3- reabsorbed.
Distal convulated tubule: Sodium 5% reabsorbed, water 8% reabsorbed, chloride, magnesium, phosphate, HCO3- reabsorbed, H+, NH4+, potassium secreted.
Collecting duct: Sodium 5% reabsorbed, water reabsorbed, urea, chloride, bicarbonate, calcium, HCO3- reabsorbed, H+, NH4+, potassium secreted.
