The flow cytometry report describes the exact number or the percentage of the variables in the diagnosis and disease settings.It also explains the subtype of the disease based on genetics,morphology and phenotype of the cell types involved in the diease.It makes easy for physician to understand the disease better and diagonse and treatment .

It has several clinical significance -

1. In the diagnosis of disease , it is capable of generating the viable cells quantity in the cerebrospinal fluid, bone marrow and peripheral blood.

2.The immunophenotyping used to done by flow cytometry and it provides the all the immune cell type data to diagnose the disease. The erythrocyte, leukocytes and platelets can be identified and analysed for the morphology and phenotypical analysis.It can be useful for the HIV patients and cancer patients to determine the progression of disease.

3.The cellular DNA content can be identified by flow cytometry and which can be useful for prognosis for the hematological malignancies.
