Epinephrine and norepinephrine are catecholamines released from adrenal medulla.They are also known as flight or fright hormone,which functions in conditions of stress.

These two hormones are neurotransmitters of sympathetic system.

Effects on heart:

These hormones act on beta receptors in the heart and thereby cause increase in heart rate and contraction of heart muscles.

Effects on blood vessels:

The alpha receptors act on blood vessels and cause vasoconstriction,thereby increasing blood pressure.
