There are tow types of acquired immunity or adaptive immunity-

2. Artificial

Each of them are further can be active or passive

Naturally Acquired

• Active Immunity: someone naturally affected by antigens and they become ill, and then recovers.
• Passive Immunity: It is natural transfer of antibodies from a mother to the child, mother's antibodies may be transferred by the placenta, breast milk or the secretions of colostrum.

Artificially Acquired

• Active Immunity: It is acquired by vaccination.
• Passive Immunity: This involves the introduction of antibodies from an animal or person who is already immune to the disease.
