1) Menorrhagia

  • Excessive mentrual bleeding due to hormonal imbalance where the mentrual phase lasts more than 7 days is termed as menorrhagia.

2) Hematuria

  • Presence of blood in urine due to damaged filtration membrane or infections is termed as hematuria.

3) Hemarthrosis

  • When a traumatic injury to a joint leads to bleeding in the joint cavities, it is known as as hemarthrosis.

4) Hematemesis

  • Presence of blood in he vomitus due to various gastointestinal abnormalities is known as hematemesis.

5) Hemoptysis

  • Presence of blood in the sputum or coughit out blood is termed as hemoptysis. This occurs due to upper respiratory tract infections that leads to bruising of the inner mucosal lining of respiraotry passage.

6) Ecchymosis

  • When a physical trauma leads to bledding under the skin and discoloration of the damaged region, it is termed as ecchymosis.
