Two options for lodging.  Write an equation FOR EACH OPTION that depicts the total cost of your stay, y, based on the number of days, x. Be sure to label each equation with the hotel it corresponds to.

Incredible Inn: $274/night with no additional parking or resort fees.

Luxury Lodge: $258/night but you must pay an additional one-time fee of $32 for parking and other fees.

Step three:  Show your work for solving the system of equations you wrote for the hotel options using the equation editor. Be sure to use the method you decided on in the previous question. Clearly state your answer.

Step four: Write your solution to the system as an ordered pair, then interpret the values in the context of the problem.

Step five:

Explain how you would use the break-even point and the information found in the previous problems to determine the least expensive place to stay. Be sure to use mathematical reasoning in your explanation.

y = 274 x

equation for luxury lodge is

y = 258 x + 32

substitution method can be used to solve the equations

plugging y = 274x in 2nd equation

274x = 258 x + 32

274x - 258x = 32

x = 32/16

x = 2

y = 274 (2) = 548

4) solution is

( x , y ) = ( 2 , 548 )

cost of staying 2 days at each hotel is $ 548

5)

least expensive place to stay is

upto 2 days it is Incredible inn and after 2 days least expensive place is Luxury lodge

because if you plug value of x greater than 2 in each equation

value of y will be less for Luxury lodge
