my entire life I have noted the sun rises every morning and set every evening. I am concluding that the sun will rise tomorrow evening. Make an argument as to why this can be inductive or deductive reasoning and include details that indicate your knowledge of the topic.

This can be inductive reasoning as we are assuming that the future will resemble the past.

We are making an inductive argument because we have inferred from past experiences.

However the argument becomes deductively valid if we assume the fact the future resembles the past as true.

This is called the principle of uniformity.

Thus the argument I have 1) the sun rises every morning and sets in the evening. 2)I assume the future resembles the past.

Therefore I can conclude it will rise tomorrow becomes now a deductive argument rather than an inductive one if we believe statement 2.
