There are 26 letters in an alphabet.The code is assigning  i^thletter in the alphabet the (27-i)^thletter. For example, for the letter 'A'(1^st) we assign the letter 'Z'(27-1=26^th) And for the letter 'B'(2^nd) we assign the letter 'Y'(27-2=25^th) and so on.
