If X and Y are discrete topological spaces, how do I prove X x Y is also discrete?
How would I prove the converse is true, could I ? Very interested. Please explain.

Like to please break down into steps that would make sense. Not sure if I have to use facts of product topology and discrete topology and how to use them.

If two quantities (e.g. X and Y) have different dimensions (dimensions in the sense of length, mass, or time), could the product XY ever be physically meaningful? Obviously X/Y could be, in something like miles/hour. I'm pretty sure that it is possible to multiply quantities with different dimensions, but is the product ever physically meaningful? I just can't imagine something like foot grams, foot hours, or gram hours ever being physically meaningful.

Prove the following result. PLEASE EXPLAIN reasoning so I can understand how to do it on my own. Let x and y be integers. Then x ≡ y (mod m) and x ≡ y (mod n) if and only if x ≡ y (mod L), where L = lcm[m, n]. Then expand to any finite number of moduli

Explain how a drone that is flown high above a city could be used calculate the height of a building or other landmark, using a method like the one you used to find the height of the Bell Tower. Give detailed step by step instructions that a classmate could follow. Include a figure. I listed the steps below: Steps to calculating the height of a building using a drone: 1. Use the drone’s ability to measure X and Y coordinates...

How could i change a city temperature? Our teacher wants us to think about some fictional engineering solutions to cold off a whole city. It cannot break any physic law and it got to make sense. I was thinking about building a giant dome made up of a material that could absorb some radiation from the sun, so the place that is under it isn't very hot. Besides i would like to take advantage of the radiation absorbed and convert...

Perpetuity X has annual payments of 1,2,3,... at the end of each year. Perpetuity Y has annual payments of q, q, 2q, 2q, 3q, 3q, ... at the end of each year. The present value of X is equal to the present value of Y at an annual effective interest rate of 10%. Calculate q. I'm new to perpetuities but basically understand how perpetuities work. I also have a formula for perpetuities that increase every year. I just can't figure...

How do I get the P value for this problem? ... In a General Social Survey, respondents working full time or part time reported how many hours they worked in the previous week at all jobs.
