I was reading about sets on complex plains from Advanced Engineering Mathematics, by Krezig. In page 620, 10th edition, it has been mentioned that: "An open square with a diagonal removed is not a domain since this set is not connected". I couldn't understand how has been proved. Can anyone please help me in visualizing this statement?

Thanks
