Question

consider the following function f(x)=x2-3x/x2-4x+3 find all x inter and the equations of all vertical asymptotes

consider the following function f(x)=x2-3x/x2-4x+3
find all x inter and the equations of all vertical asymptotes

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Vertical assymptote means the point at which x--> a implies y--> infinity. Here we can see at x=1 and x= 3 the denominator becomes 0. So as x-->1 and x--> 3 we get y=f(x) --> infinity. Hence x= 1 and x=3 are the vertical assymptote.

Here "inter" means intercept is written in the question?? Please let me know. So that i can correct myself as soon as possible.

Hope this will help you. Thank you.
