. A buyer sold two pieces of land described as the S½ of the NW¼ of section 10 and the NE¼ of the NE¼ of the NE¼ of section 15 for $393,300. What was the price per acres?
Answer -
In the given question we have to calculate the land price per acres
we know that 1 section = 640 acre
so section 10 = 640x10
= 6400
& for section 15 = 640x15
= 9600
so now we have to calculate the dimension of both land pieces according to the given direction.
1 piece of land = 6400 /2 = 3200/4=800 acre ( S½ of the NW¼ )
2 piece of land =9600/4 =2400/4=600/4=150 acre(NE¼ of the NE¼ of the NE¼ )
so the total area of the both piece of land = 800+150 acre
= 950 acres
and according to question price for this = $ 393,300
so price per acre = $393,300/950
= $ 414 per acre
