What would be the difference between an attributes sampling plan and a variables sampling plan in a test of inventory extensions?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Attributes sampling plan conforms Yes or no. It either conforms to quality or does not conforms to quality. Attribute sampling checks the inventory is defective or not.

On the other hand variable sampling plan gives more information in complex way. It specks about number ranges. Variable sampling measures the degree of conformity. It specks about how much or how far the inventory is good or bad.

Example : For inventory extension, the shape of inventory is oval or not is the result of attribute sampling plan. But what are the different color shades ( Blue, black ,red, yellow ,green ) of the inventories is the result of variables sampling plan.
