Can a byproduct ever become a joint product?
Byproduct means a product which is incidentally produced, these are produced from the discarded material like scrap or waste material Whereas Joint products are produced simultaneously, with the same raw material and process and requires further processing to become a finished product.
Hence, on the basis of above description we can say that byproduct can not become joint product until some cost or inputs are not brought for the production of the byproduct by the producer.
