The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) is the federal law which sets minimum wages, overtime, record keeping and youth employment standards. Under this act, an employee can be covered in two ways i.e., enterprise coverage & individual coverage
An enterprise are covered under the FLSA, only if
i) it has atleast 2 employees and
ii) have an annual dollar volume of sales or business done of atleast $,500,000 and
iii) this enterprise are hospitals, business providing medical or nursing care for residents, schools and preschools, and government agencies
