Which is the best stock market? Noone can answer that, stock market is known for its volatility and quality of companies which trade in them. To make a list, Indian stock exchnage of BSE enlist maximum number of companies. However, as per the attached list NYSE is the biggest exchange till date.

Rank Exchange Name Value of Shares Traded (in $ billion)
1 NewYork Stock Exchange 29,910
2 NASDAQ 15,320
3 London Stock Exchange 10,334
4 Tokyo Stock Exchange 6,476

There can be no best stock market based upon open, close, high, low however there has been recording consistent increase in returns of the above stock markets including of Singapore, Saudi Arablia and India. Each stock exchange has its own parameters and the returns truely depend upon the investors stock holdings.

Hope this helps.
