The focus of strategic planning is to define a game plan for long-run survival and growth.On the other hand a business plan is a written document that describes in detail how a business, usually a new one, is going to achieve its goals.

A business plan and Strategic plan are identical as both plans are based on goals and objectives of a business and requires set of activities to achieve those business goals and objectives.
