The entries to record the disposition of account receivable is recorded to show that how we have got funds using the accounts receivable who still need to pay either using them as collateral or sell them to factoring. This is the most usual for suppliers as most of the consumers usually pay at the end of the credit period and funds would be necessary for entity to carry its day to day function.

The main function is to disclose to the users of financial statements how cash is made for continuing the day to day operations using the debtors who still need to pay.
