Social Enterprises are key to achieving a sustainable Not-for-Profit sector as they apply business strategies to generate revenue to support their charitable missions. Following are the ways by which social enterprise can create a sustainable Not-for-Profit sector:

1. Acceptance that growth and comfort can't be combined.
2. One area should be picked so that they can focus their efforts on building an organization that is an expert within it.
3. Not-for-profit sector should start with a big idea, but scale it down. In doing so, they will create a social enterprise that can quickly deliver value, even if that value only scratches the surface of what they hope to achieve.
4. Should not stray from the business purpose so as to achieve sustainability.
