CVP analysis helps in finding a breakeven point at which the firm will be able to cover its fixed costs.

For a non-profit organization to sustain for the longer term, the organization should be able to cover all its costs.

Therefore CVP analysis of the will help in determining the level of activity or the donation required to cover the costs at a particular level of activity.

Thus it would be improper to say that CVP analysis cannot be used for not-for-profit organization.
