Nonverbal communication is very important. It shows the accentuation and emotions backing up speech.

It also shows emotions, preferences, agreement and many more aspects. However speech in itself and without nonverbal communication can communicate complex messages. Thus verbal communication in itself is very important as well. Together they are what constitutes our complex interplay of nonverbal and verbal communication to communicate the most accurate message. Thus both are important.

Body language is very important in communication, how we hold ourselves, how we make hand gestures, our way of indicating annoyance or happiness with our facial features, and make eye contact. The way we say something is also a big part of communication, if not the biggest part as it’s often not what we say but how we say it that can make or break a relationship
