Answer #1

Audit evidence is any verbal or written documentation used by the auditor to conclude whether the material being audited is in accordance with established criteria. Scientific evidence is achieved through scientific testing and experiments. The evidence is used in the attempt to prove or disprove a scientific theory or hypothesis. Legal evidence is presented to a jury and judge in order to prove the guilt or innocence of a person. The evidence is presented as testimonies by witnesses and involved parties, either oral or written statements, and direct evidence. Although achieved in different ways and for different purposes evidence is used to find the truth and accuracy in a given situation.
