Homework Answers

Answer #1

The V.P. of Marketing wants to introduce the new body wash in a 32 oz. bottle. It will be based on a thorough market research done by the marketing department. Since the product is a body wash, the customers will use it daily, in more quantity. Then they prefer to buy the product in larger quantity. So the strategy to introduce the body wash in large quantity will be effective. If it is sold in large bottle, it will be stored for a long period of time by the customer. Moreover, there is chance for human contamination problem since they dip the fingers during daily use. So the preservative system must be changed by the R&D department in order to keep the product fresh for a long period of time.

Thus, if the VP of Marketing insisted on using this large bottle, the preservative system must be changed.
