Segregation of duties means shared responsiblity by different employees on the matter which is important in nature in order to prevent any error or fraud. Proper segregation of duties helps the organisation to properly manage the working of the company without any fraud.

In segregation of duties a particular task or job is given to one employee and after sometime the employee is replaced by other employee so that any error made by the previous employee is corrected by the new employee.

Therefore adequate segregation of duties always works to prevent misdeed in the company.
