It ensures we owe a responsibility towards the society and community even if it means the profit is lower. Hence many companies are not willing to do this since profitability will be reduced. There are only selected few companies which are doing this in the corporate world today. Hence the popularity is decreasing due to lower profitablity

Since suppliers work for the main firm to whom they supply the reputation of the firm is also at stake.
