An intentional tort, the tortfeasor knows  the consequences of his doing, or knew that something shall happen due to the act .

For example, Rohan swings a baseball bat at Sam, Sam sees it coming and ducks down to avoid the hurt  and the baseball bat is still travelling  and hits Ravi standing next to you, then Ravi is the victim of a tort even if Rohan had no intention of hitting Ravi

A tort which is an ACT is defamation

defamation means falsely defaming some one unecessarily and publicly humiliating them and creating a false image about that person for personal benfits

A tort which is an ommission is Duty of Care

Duty of care means it is implied duty of a parent to take care of their child , if they fail to do so they are liable to TORT law and also prosecuted for punishments
