The ATO-australian taxation office test case litigation program helps the tax payers to get some financial assistance to meet some or all of the litigation cost related to ATO related cases, upon satisfaction of some funding criteria's and expectations   

CRITERIA

a. Issue involves uncertainty and contention about how the law operates

b. Be in the public interest to be litigated

EXPECTATIONS in addition to funding criteria the case must have either

a. Significant to public at large

b. Significant to commercial implication to an industry

If the criterias and expectations satisfied next step is APPLYing for the test case funding using TEST CASE FUNDING APPLICATION FORM and the application shall be considered by a committee including three external experts and two senior ATO executives and if they find it satisfying funding shall be initiated
