To improve the efficiency of their operations, accounting managers are quick to implement information technology that improves, simplifies, or automates procedures and processes. These improvements in information technology have impacted job-order costing both directly and indirectly. Do you agree with this assessment? Why?
Answer)
I will agree that with improve in information technology definitely has impact on job order costing. It helps in providing best customer services for the customers as it becomes easy for the manufacturer to note the customers preferences. For suppose the manufacturer can start an application with all the designs they can do right now and with it the customer can easily communicate his requirements easily to the vendor and an near estimate of price that costs to the customer can be easily communicated to the customers immediately.
The improve in information technology not only increases communication efficiency between customer and seller but also indirectly saves time i.e going to shop etc can be reduced with it.
