In your opinion, where should companies spend most of their quality funds: on prevention, inspection, internal failure or external failure costs?
Explain your logic in making this selection
Companies should spend most of their Quality Funds on Prevention rather than in any other activity.
It is because Prevention can protect from all other losses due to Inspection, Internal Failure and External Failure Costs. It would help eliminate all other Quality costs to a great extent and make production of Quality Goods possible.
Prevention Activity may detect possible future damages and help the production department repair them. An error prevented from occuring would be beneficial rather than detecting it later on from Inspection or Internal Failure.
