Bit Stream is also referred to as mirror image back up. With a Bit stream image set of files are created of exact copy of the hard drive of the computer which help preserve all the data in the form of image that is it replicates the data on the hard drive. This helps the auditor or forensics examiner as there is no risk of contaminating the orginal evidence. With this the data cannot be manipulated or changed and hence there cannot be any financial fraud in the data.
