Should we be more concerned by the gap in wealth between nations, or the growing gap within many nations?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

We should be more concerned with gap in wealth within the nations rather than between the nations.

The inequality of wealth within the nation creates lot of miserable situations where major portion of nation’s revenue is concentrated with few individuals or companies whereby the majority of population contribute very meager portion of nation revenue. This can be said as rich becomes richer and the poor becomes poorer.

Inequalities of wealth creates problems as follows:

1. The growth rate of economy comes to a halt.

2. Inequalities threatens political stability.
