The abive-mentioned statement is partially corrext. Supreme court did not declared the federal income constitution invalid but the tax on personal incomes of individual from the property and stock. It did not declared federal taxes on corporations unconstitutional. Thus 16th ammendment was passed to overturn supreme court judgement only till the effet of including in tax ambeyance income from property also to individuals.
