Homework Answers

Answer #1

A completed gift meant to a scenario where the donor gifts the property with all its associated rights . The following scenario doesnt allow a donor to modify or any kind of change either for his own benift or for any others after the gifting happened. The basic requirements for a completed gift are explained bellow :

1.Intention of donor to give the gift to the donee (donative intent)

A mere promise to gift in future can't be said a compleete gifting , even if the promise supported by legal documents.

2. Delivery of gift to donee.

It should be delivered to the grantee. If its not deliverable i.e. A house or a land property we can convey by handing over a key to the donee.

3.Acceptance of gift by donee.

However, because people generally accept gifts, acceptance will be presumed, so long as the donee does not expressly reject the gift.
