The VLOOKUP function isn't working... I made them absolute references too.

Answer #1

V look up formula =V LOOK UP (value, table, col_index, [range lookup])

Where

  • value - The value to look for in the first column of a table.
  • table - The table from which to retrieve a value.
  • col_index - The column in the table from which to retrieve a value.
  • range_lookup - [optional] TRUE = approximate match (default). FALSE = exact match.

Even if you put absolute reference, it will work

V look works for right side only and for vertical only.

I hope this will help you, if requires clarification you may comment below.

Determine wether the given function has any local or absolute extreme values, and find those values if possible. f(x) = 1/(x^2 + 1) Can you please explain how to know if the point is abs max or abs min if I don't think about how the graph of this function looks like. So I've found out that f ' (x) = (-2x)/((x^2 + 1))^2 = 0, so x=0 is a critical point. f(0) = 1. I know the answer is...

able legs made in your factory are unusable if their diameter is either too large or too small. The target diameter is 4 centimeters, with a known standard deviation of 0.3 centimeters. You take a sample of 5 table legs and find that their mean diameter is 4.2 centimeters. (Assume that the distribution is normal.) For the following, round all answers to no fewer than 4 decimal places. Write the null and alternative hypotheses to determine if the manufacturing process...
