In your view, does utilitarianism provide a more objective standard for determining right and wrong than moral rights do? Your comments!
Yes, It does provide a more objective standard for determining right and wrong than moral rights do.
Utilitarianism- These are the ethics that have a philosophy that considered an action is right if it is right for majority of people in the nation. If the consequences of an action or step are positive and bring hapiness then it is morally right. One should choose the majority views for the good of society.
We all know that it is not possible to make everyone happy so go with the majority of people and for their happiness. Moral rights are made for all but they may bring happiness for not all but some set of people, utilitarianism says that if the principles are good for majority of people in the society and they are happy because of that, our purpose is solved.
