Ethics in Business and Accounting Question
Do you support the right for employers to mind the conduct of employees outside of the workplace? Or do you believe that the right to privacy should always be above employer’s interests? Explain.
Business Ethics always defines rights and duties of an employee and the employer.
Further business ethics sometimes support the employer and sometimes the employee.
So it would not be incorrect to say that the employers can mind the conduct of employees outside the workplace, if such conduct of employees is related to the business of employers then the employers certainly have the rights to mind the conduct of employees.
Now, from the employees point of view they have full right to
privacy and such rights should always be above the employer's
interests.
Employees are allowed to conduct any business once outside the
employers workplace, the only thing is that such business should
not be related to the business of the employer.
Right to privacy is always above anyone's interest and so in this case also right to privacy should be above the employer's interests.
